Carl Mapada

Founder and Lead Mentor

Carl Mapada is the visionary behind Ardubot Learning Lab, which he founded in the Philippines in 2015 as a grassroots initiative at the UP Cebu Fablab. An Electronics Engineer by training and a seasoned Senior Full Stack Java Developer, Carl brings over 13 years of industry experience, primarily with Accenture, where he worked on large-scale enterprise solutions and deployed Machine Learning applications for global clients, including Bank of America.

He also served as a college instructor in the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering at the University of San Carlos, where he was instrumental in developing the department’s Microcontroller course to strengthen students’ foundations in embedded systems and applied electronics.

Carl holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science, further deepening his expertise in software development and emerging technologies. Proficient in Java, Python, and .NET, he now resides in the U.S., where he continues to pursue his passion for mentoring and STEM education. What began as Saturday workshops in Cebu has grown into a mission-driven platform that equips the next generation of tech innovators with hands-on, future-ready learning experiences.
